Settled at Home

Having Dad home has been great for us, and it has been a good adjustment for him I think as well. Today Dad was able to visit his family doctor and finish the paperwork required for homecare. A hospital bed was also delivered to the house.

Dad hopes for a good night sleep tonight. Tomorrow we plan on keeping visiting hours between 11-1pm and 5-7pm. Dad's sister Gerda and her husband Tom will also be here tomorrow during the day.

Thanks to Jackie Huberts, it looks like we are going to have much appreciated meals for the next two weeks, and thank you all for cooking for us, as well as your support and prayers.

Thanks also to the many people who have phoned and sent cards from many parts of Canada, the U.S., Hong Kong, and even Haiti. Even if we do not get back to you right away, we keep a log of phone calls, messages, visits, and blessings of food that makes it into our home.

Thanks also to Mom's grade 1 students who sent us so many cards. Mom misses them so much.

  1. Hi Bill, Judy & Family,

Nelly are I are very sadden to hear about your health.
It is so good to hear you were able to go home - there is nothing like being in your own surroundings.
I am very hopeful they have your pain under control - I know how difficult that is to deal with.
I would have liked to visit you in the hospital, however, I know how tiring it can be and respect how important it is to spend as much time as possible with the family.
I know you have made peace with God no matter how things turn out.
I really want to thank you for being with Nelly & I when we needed you the most.
Our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family.
    Love

  4. Hi Bill, Judy and family. I'm thankful that you were able to come home to be with your family and familiar surroundings. You have been in my prayers these past weeks. I remember how you shared at our last missional cluster meeting that you are a man who loves prayer and that is your first love. You inspired me to keep walking and praying as you were doing so faithully. Thanks for the inspiration Bill. May you find comfort and strength in the knowledge that others are now interceding for you and ask that God will provide everything that you need in fact excedingly more than all you can ask for or imagine for He loves you and yours. Blessings my brother, Jean Dykshoorn
